What people are saying about class...

I just wanted to write you to let you know that I really believe your yoga instruction gave me the best labor and delivery experience possible.  I ended up having to be induced which terrified me, but because my body was so ready it took only a matter of hours.  The pain was manageable with all of the visualization and relaxation we practiced.  I eventually got an epidural, but until that time I could literally hear your voice telling me, "Memorize this place and feeling so you can retrieve it when you need it."  I imagined each contraction was giving baby a hug.  You were very much a part of the labor and delivery and you weren't even there.  My body went from a 1 to a 10 in about 8 hours and I only pushed for about 20 minutes.  I knew exactly how to push because of the birthing breaths.  My doctor was so impressed with every push.  Thank you so much for sharing your gift with me.  I can't wait for mommy and me!!!          ~  Courtney

"Mamaste with Michelle helped me tremendously during pregnancy, not only with relaxing and soothing the aches and pains of pregnancy, but providing a friendly forum of other women going through the same incredible experience.  Most importantly, the breathing, vocalizing, and focus techniques that we learned in class were second nature during labor, and I credit the fact that I was able to have a beautiful natural labor and delivery largely to Michelle's prenatal yoga class." ~ Erica

"I loved pre-natal yoga.  I looked forward to class twice a week.  Not only was Michelle a great instructor that contributed to whole experience, but the interaction with other pregnant women was irreplaceable.  I was somewhat sad that the class had an end, although my baby had arrived.  Michelle also instructs a Mommy and Me Yoga class which I attended last week, I feel this will replace the void pre-natal yoga left." ~ Katrina

"My yoga class experience definitely improved my overall strength, flexibility, mindset, will power, and relaxation & breathing forms during my entire labor, delivery, and now even during this postpartum period.....I have been able to recover so easily.  I was up walking around within 30 minutes after delivery. I am very pleased that the yoga practice was such a big part of my pregnancy and delivery." ~ Heather

"Before doing prenatal yoga, I never even considered having an unmedicated birth. After doing prenatal yoga and learning more about the birth process, I successfully had two unmedicated births. It was very rewarding. Yoga also helped me deal with the aches and pains of being pregnant. Being able to talk to other pregnant women and hear their stories is also great as well."    ~  Janet

My first yoga class was in 2000, and I practiced off and on for the next few years, but it wasn't until after the birth of my first child that I really fell in love with yoga. My yoga practice became a grounding force for me as I adventured into motherhood. For my second pregnancy, I was able to practice prenatal yoga. I valued the experience so much that I decided to become a yoga teacher with the intention of teaching pregnant women. I believe that birth is sacred. I am honored to be teaching yoga to women at such an important time in their lives.
